Alcohol makes me so chilled and relaxed. I have no desire to do anything or talk to anyone. My mind is quieter. I’m perfectly fine just sitting in a corner, doing nothing - just observing. My mask falls off and I stop performing. I don’t feel the need to go socialize with people. I’m not overanalyzing myself or what other people are thinking. I stop caring about what I look like or what I say. I’m at peace?! And the best part is - I’m learning how to feel like this sober too. I already am, in a lot of ways.
