We’re all on this path to enlightenment.
We’re all souls having a human experience
Being a human is this irrational nonsensical chaotic experience of paradoxes. Joy and sadness, boredom and excitement…
The whole point in having the human experience is to experience every bit of being human.
If we were aliens or souls that once inhabited a tree or a fish in a tank or something like that…
We’d see humans having a wide variety of experiences and feelings… and we’d look and be like wow… sadness and grief and joy and excitement… all of those experiences look BIG… I want to experience all of that and more…
But we often don’t allow ourselves to feel the painful feelings. But that’s such a huge part of the human experience…
And we often want to move towards this IDEA of enlightenment… because we believe that ideology of it will reduce our suffering…
And sometimes people find that sense of or idea of enlightenment at the bottom of a glass in a pub… well they find a reduction to their suffering anyway… short term.
But my point is that we try to bypass so much of the human experience to achieve enlightenment when enlightenment is the opposite of human.
I mean, if human is chaos and irrational etc…
Then enlightenment is calm and rational and composed and blissfullness and full embodiment etc etc
I don’t mean the human experience is bad I mean it’s chaos as in… a bunch of messy constant paradoxes all the time…
My point is that we’re wanting so badly not to suffer… and we want to know the meaning of life and we want more certainty…
But in essence that is what being a human is all about, with positives ofcourse but that’s up to us…
So the more we grasp for this concept of enlightenment the less of a human experience we have.
And the meaning of life is the biggest joke or lie…
Because there is none. It’s pointless.. meaningless… not in a negative way but there’s something liberating about that?
There is no meaning… life just simply is.
And I think the whole reason we want to assign meaning is for certainty… but life is uncertain.
life just simple is….
James mentioned Alan watts and this concept that the universe was bored so it made humans for the universe to experience itself through 8 billion people… he believes the universe is a conscious thing.
I disagree somehow….
I think we are in these vessels that are far too stupid and prohibit us (with these frankly disabled faculties in comparison to this vast interconnectedness that exists) to understand the universe.
I don’t think it’s the kind of consciousness we understand.
It doesn’t think and feel and make decisions or plans the way we do… I think we anthropomorphise this mycelium network type of power that lives in every living organism and atom because that’s all our stupid brains allow…
And ya know when you take psychadelics and you come out of it unable to place words on how profound of an experience you had… like it’s just felt? It’s like that…
You can feel the presence of this great power… artists try to portray it and saints try to vocalise it but the idea of it still gets lost inside this radio distortion of noise that is us… the universe transmits, we recieve and the output is clumsy and falls short of the original message - almost always.
the meaning of life is - there is no meaning. We’re just simply here to experience all that is, for no great purpose at all. We can just simply be.

Explores the paradox of seeking enlightenment while trying to avoid the inherent chaos and pain of being human, arguing that true liberation comes from accepting the meaninglessness of existence. Contrasts the human tendency to anthropomorphize the universe with a perspective that human faculties are too limited to grasp the true, non-human nature of universal consciousness.
