@root I agree that life can give one what seems to be abundance, yet gives another the opposite. But also true is what is "best" for one may not be the best for the next. Life is always what you make it. It doesn't matter what life hands you, because its how you decide to play that hand that ultimately shapes if its your best or not. And how can one truly say they are oppressed from something if they never had that something?
