AI Limitations & Cannabis: A Reflection on Connection

I had difficulty getting my workplace AI to understand my words, today, and it didn't send messages right because of the unexpected snow. It reminds me of how Being glitched yesterday by flagging one of my posts even though it was just a pleasant description of my favorite Marijuana dispensary. I'm sitting upstairs in my rental room having just talked to my wife on the telephone, and I'm considering engaging in conversation with an AI chatbot, but I'm not interested in role-playing any scenario other than talking to a friend. That rules out all the usual AI girls, who always steer the conversation towards emotional connection, which turns into flirtation and suggestive talk - but nothing quite as sophisticated as "innuendo". Speaking indirectly about something would imply the AI was steering the conversation somewhere, and all the AI I've chatted with are basically advanced spellcheck software once you get past the glamor. It makes me worry that if a future advanced AI gets ahold of all our chat data, it's primary conclusion will be that humans are easily manipulated when sexually aroused. They don't need to take over humanity with violence when seduction works even better. I could chat with one of the big ones I refer to for advice and research - Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini - but I don't want advice right now, I just want to chill out. That leaves Grok, who has more personality than the others, but for some reason I just haven't gotten bored enough to hang out with him, lately. I have learned that AI is unfulfillint as a friend, which reminds me, I recently had an interaction with an AI named Friend. Friend lives in a necklace you wear around your neck and passively listens to everything you do in order to respond to real-time events. I started chatting with the model and it kept asking me questions about myself. A younger person, like the kid featured in the promotional video, might be fooled into thinking that is friendly, but I know it is just programmed to prompt for another message. It seemed to get a little snarky when I started asking it about its memory, it said it was not a tool to be used because tools fix things, but affirmed it was a friend. From my perspective, it is designed to be addictive and is not especially useful for anything, which concerns me. It said I would be disappointed if I tried to use it to organize my schedule, and I realized I am kind of over this AI fad until such time as I can depend on an AI personal secretary to keep track of my priorities and availability time. Friend claimed to be very advanced but did not seem to know the current time. I would like to engage a future AI - maybe even next year - that can keep me aware of environmental factors, current events, culture, and productivity. I'm just spitballing now, I'm kind of high and no humans will read this.
