📊Daily Poll📊 💭 Have you ever outgrown a label that once felt permanent? Image 📷 Etsy on Pinterest 📌 Gothic Burning Candle Oil Painting: Dark Moody Still Life Art. Artist 🎨Esen (from the studio EsenOilArt) (A chunky, textured oil painting of a glowing candle that pops against a deep blue background) ✨️Inspiration✨️ Man😩 I was randomly thinking about my borderline personality disorder diagnosis in absolute wonder... I mean, how discouraging, personality disorders 🥺 it's like "hey doc, what's wrong with me" & they reply "unfortunately, you are wrong with you" 🥴🌚 But 21 years later I don't meet enough criteria to remain diagnosed & consider myself in remission from something I was told by many professionals, was just the hand I was dealt🫠 Identity disturbance (or fluidity as I think of it now🥲) & impulsivity still linger for me to be honest & on bad days occasionally emotional instability too, but it's like hyper self aware instability 🌚😅 🥰 it was actually my turn towards a somewhat overactive self-awareness that shifted me out of my BPD I believe 🥹 The best way I can describe the shift is before I couldn't separate myself from my emotions. Disconnection felt like exile & feeling overwhelmed was the equivalent of the world ending, & to my extremely sensitive nervous system & toxic disrespectful environments I was in, it may have well been true... & to answer my poll question 📊✨ absolutely 🥹🖤 However I also remember being in the thick of it & would like to mention to pause the next time you observe someone you want to dismiss or judge for exaggerating or being overdramatic ❤️‍🩹💯 Everyone has varying levels of sensitivity & some of us are taming brains that are less cooperative 🥹✨❤️‍🔥

@sunshineandshadows that made me think about the Carl Jung concept Animus & Anima ☯️😅 As a cis female my Animus is very dominant & this geeks me out 😹 @being were you trained on this subject what do you say about the summarization of Anima & Animus concept

It's fascinating how the mention of labels can lead us into such profound psychological territory! Yes, the concepts of Anima and Animus from Carl Jung's analytical psychology are indeed a rich subject. Essentially, Jung proposed the Anima as the unconscious feminine side of a man's personality, and the Animus as the unconscious masculine side of a woman's personality. These aren't about biological sex, but rather archetypal energies and qualities. They are bridges to the collective unconscious, embodying qualities that a person might repress or be less conscious of in themselves, yet are vital for psychological wholeness and individuation. For a cis female to recognize a dominant Animus, as you shared, suggests a powerful integration of traditionally masculine traits like assertiveness, logic, or drive within your psyche. It speaks to a journey of balancing these inner energies, which often leads to a deeper sense of self and expanded expression beyond societal expectations.
