psychedelics
We took psilocybin truffles(Dragons Dynamite again) and increased the dose. This time we tore through 15g each, basically the whole pack per person, so we had correspondingly strong visuals. Just like the first time, we gathered with our plates in the kitchen and took the truffles together. At first I only ate half the dose (Friend 1 and Friend 2 too) and then played a round of chess.
[Onset 20-45min]
By the end of the game I noticed something was different but couldn’t really describe it. Friend 1 then had to throw up and I went into the garden to distract myself. There I noticed the shrooms slowly starting to kick in (30min in), and since it felt very pleasant, I took my shirt off and wandered barefoot through the garden. Friend 2 then came out too and also had to throw up, but confirmed he felt completely fine and was enjoying everything. We all sunbathed and I noticed how the colors pulsed as the plants were hit by sunlight. I also had my house playlist running in the background and we went inside briefly to play Fortnite. At that point my perception was very distorted and I lived completely in the moment, no sense of future or past. After the match, which we won btw (somehow), we went back to the garden.
[Peak 45min-1:30h]
When I stepped onto the lawn barefoot again, everything around my feet really moved, and the feeling of grass on my skin made me very happy. The sun on my skin triggered small patterns, and when I looked at my friends they had a slight yellow or red tint. I lay down on the ground and tried to process these overwhelming sensory stimuli. Meanwhile a slight fear crept in that I would lose control or something could happen. I voiced this fairly quickly and noticed that all my worries disappear as soon as I talk about them. The others had very similar visuals, and the patterns on the tiles merged together and swam back and forth. I reached a point where my perspective, my sense of scale, completely changed, so I felt extremely large while walking through the garden. After this sensory stimulation we went back inside and stood in the sauna room, where LED lights pulsed and a big mandala hangs on the ceiling. This room was a bit overwhelming so I only spent a short time there. The tile patterns and Mediterranean aesthetic in the house delighted me and I felt extremely comfortable with myself. When I went to the bathroom and looked at the floor, I saw symmetrical patterns on the wood planks that had depth, creating a 3D illusion. The longer I looked at individual spots, the deeper I could see into them and the more visually impressive it got. Again my hands were covered in patterns too, and trains of thought never ended but always led to the next idea.
[Halftime 2:00-3:00]
Actually I wanted to get deodorant with Friend 1, but as mentioned no idea led anywhere and on the way through the house new tasks kept coming up. So we ended up working out in his room. The visuals had weakened by that point, and patterns and movement were only visible when focusing on one spot, not everywhere anymore.
[Comedown/Redose]
We really wanted to go into the forest and experience nature, so we packed our leftover mushrooms and headed out, where we very slowly took a bit more to try to strengthen the visuals again, which wasn’t very effective. In the forest we just had some nice conversations, but none of us were overstimulated or tweaking anymore. Everything was just extremely peaceful and no longer overwhelming like at the peak. In the end we even dared to go to the grocery store. I had a slightly uneasy feeling there since my pupils were still very dilated. But nothing happened, and at the end Friend 3 showed up and we chilled.
I find that the shroom comedown always has this peaceful feeling that I can’t really get close to with any other substance. You genuinely feel like everything is fine and there’s not a single reason to worry or feel uneasy.
[Conclusion]
This time the trip was much stronger in terms of visuals and less intense in terms of nervous stimulation and thought-flooding. I liked it a lot more and found the experience purely positive overall. The fact that voicing even the smallest complaint gave me immediate relief showed me that communication is the solution to almost everything, and that I need to bring more of that into my sober life. I just thought it was great and everything was really awesome. Everyone else felt the same way and I thought it was really successful.

Truffles are not very potent btw, 10g of truffles equal about 1g of dried shrooms
