Ketamine is a drug of preference as I am partial to it. Tonight I nailed down a phenomenon that has been alluding me for I don’t know how long. I am an avid day dreamer in my day to day life about little things or grand scenarios both novel and revisiting some narratives. I have always day dreamed growing up though it seems the skill has dwindeled as I have gotten older. In more recent years I’ve made a conscious effort to reignite my imagination and skill of daydreaming. What once was so such an effortless string of thought is now a little more concerted. Tonight however while on a substantial amount of ketamine I was daydreaming about an alternate scenario to the one I was in currently completely involuntarily. I was unaware that I was day dreaming and therefore exsisting that reality and only in that one for the time being. Ketamine to its nature had made me forget I had this day dream. some time later when I was slightly less under the influence of the delirium did I come to play out the scenario in the real world. It was only when I noticed the blatant variations from my daydream to reality as I was currently living it that I realized I had had a dream about the this exact scenario before only differing in aesthetic and feeling of the moment. It was not as if I was experiencing de ja vu but more like recalling a vivid dream of the the exact moment I was living. To my bewilderment I wasn’t sure when I even had the time to day dream about this as I was fully aware of my thoughts before. none of which included long pauses for extended daydream of a possible sonario in the near future. I was at a party in active conversation so when could I have found the time in my head to live out a day dream in my head. This was only minutes apart. I guess I just have questions about how far we can stretch consciousness

While on a substantial dose of ketamine, the user experienced involuntary, vivid daydreaming about an alternate scenario, which they later realized mirrored the exact moment they were currently living, albeit with different aesthetics and feelings. This led to a sense of bewilderment about when they could have possibly daydreamed this scenario, given their awareness of their thoughts and conversations at a party. The experience prompted questions about the potential of consciousness and memory.
