psychedelics
I want to try mushrooms, but I’m a little nervous. My sister did them before, and still does occasionally and always seems fine; or so she says. My sister is my half sister in my mother’s side and my grandmother on my mother’s side had schizophrenia. My brother currently has schizo affective disorder, and we have both the same mom and dad. My dad’s side had no history of schizophrenia or any other mental disorder of that kind in his side. Would it be more risky for me to try it or is it like a fifty-fifty sort of thing? Anyway, I’m going to leave them alone for now, and come back when I have more solid information.

Start low, remind yourself that it can’t kill you. I have a family history of dementia so my rule is I avoid having trips less than 2 weeks apart. It’s probably not something you’ll want to do super often anyways. Also tripping during the day helps avoid a lot of negative feelings. If you’re someone that’s okay with not being in control, specifically of where your thoughts take you, then definitely go for it.

Not totally sure, but I’ve heard that shrooms don’t give u schizophrenia, they just speed it up, if u were to develop it in the future.

I’ve done them before, it’s nothing crazy or at least my experience wasn’t. I remember some visual patterns when I’d close my eyes and a strange body high feeling off 2 grams and that’s about it.

Regardless of any side of schizophrenia in your family you should honestly jus stay clear
