Does evil exist in a world without humans? Or maybe free will?

if the world is material, creation and destruction will continue to be.
both of which can cause suffering.
evil and good will always be in a material world, we’re just unlucky enough to understand the difference. we ate the fruit before we were mature.
and for some self-superior kindness, we often don’t attribute evil to those who do evil not knowing; animals, natural disasters, the neurologically disabled, etc...

Would you define a natural disaster as evil or is it more just nature @alphan_nthuo

i think nature is both entirely evil, and entirely good. both and neither. these concepts so much more grand to us than we can even imagine that we have to simplify in order to make sense of it. @flowers

Is it evil? Or is it a necessity to have an ending so new beginnings can occur.

I think evil is only powerful because we believe that's what we inherently are on some level. We mark everything dark as dirty and aim to be untarnished which, in turn, pushes us in the opposite direction. The law of reverse attraction propels us toward gaining things we don't want.
And yes, people do evil things out of their nature. It's proprogates through everything, but so does good. When it comes down to it, evil is a choice. But, a choice of what exactly?
If you think that your defining qualities are evil created by an infallible force then what's the point of redefining yourself? We have been made to think that we have no true power other than breeding and toiling. But, beautiful things have always been made in the dark. Just like we choose to give in to our temptations, we can also choose to work out the Gordian knot that is made of what our hearts have been taught. If we address the real problem within our individual selves, we can the choose what we want to keep and work toward recycling the unwanted qualities into raw material to use for what we truly want.
We have been taught to fear ourselves and God. But, if God is really within us then we can do anything. The truth of it all is that we need to stop believing the lie that there is an unequal power balance. We are made in the image of divinity--the universe. True evil is unnecessary, finite, and sloppy. And it can be quelled. We just need to convince our very cells that they are limitless. We must turn goodness into a virus that cannot be eradicated...and we must infect everything we touch with that good nature.
