So ya know the word “CREDIT” in “credit card” and how deceptive it is… like it’s actually a debt card isn’t it… but nobody would have one if it was called that… Well let’s accurately name other things to reflect its actual nature. If we renamed the “justice” system to better reflect what is actually being upheld, the more accurate name would be The Social Containment System Because it prioritises order, obedience, authority and stability of power, over truth, healing, compassion, consent and restoration of harm The National health service = symptom containment system Because it prioritises the management of symptoms but not the care to get to the root of the problems. As long as the symptoms are managed enough for you to become part of the workforce by societies standards their job is done. “Health” itself comes last. Not because the doctors or nurses lack compassion but because the system itself is operating under scarcity logic, fear, and control. Some are genuine healers trapped inside a machine built for efficiency, forced to abandon their values and intuition. Police (comes from the Greek polis, meaning city or community) = Compliance and control unit It doesn’t prioritise the care of community (unless there’s some rule breaking). That has to come secondary to upholding and enforcing the law with authoritarianist workmanship. Again, not because members of the police lack compassion, but because they’re working in a machine designed to prioritise containment - not justice. Which is shit because they’re like the front of house staff taking all the complaints for a system they have no say in. I could go on… The point is… All of this has an impact on all of us. Subtly, so it’s sinister… When we live in a system that is deceptive in this way.. that prioritises containment, management, authority, rules, hierarchy etc over values such as care, empathy, compassion etc. we are being trained/brainwashed into over riding our own values with societies.. How does this impact our behaviour? We doubt our own moral instincts accept harm as “just how things are” We override empathy in favour of rules We confuse obedience with goodness “Success” becomes what society values most instead of what we value most The symptoms of this? depression, dissociation, addiction, exhaustion etc. and some of us wear it as a medal of honour for “hard work” or showing up when we’re sick. The work place culture currently is that if a member of staff is off sick and they can’t get the cover, the other members have to work harder, more responsibility, sometimes working into their own breaks, to accommodate for the lack of workforce present, without any extra pay. This creates resentment towards the person off and burnout amongst staff. this is the norm and it is just simply expected of everyone to accommodate. What is termed “team work” and “family” in workplaces is often just used to manipulate people into complying to unfair conditions. And we continue to comply and the machine spins madly on… And those that rebel or live differently? Labelled misfits, crazy, odd etc. And yet, they’re the sanest people I’ve met.

This post critiques common societal systems, such as 'credit cards,' 'justice,' 'healthcare,' and 'police,' by suggesting more accurate, albeit cynical, names that reflect their priority of control, containment, and efficiency over core values like truth, healing, compassion, and community. It argues that this systemic deception subtly trains individuals to override their own moral instincts, accept harm, and confuse obedience with goodness, leading to widespread issues like depression, addiction, and burnout, exacerbated by workplace cultures that manipulate 'teamwork' to enforce unfair conditions.
