I started a new job in February and I have a lot of overthinking problems so I’ve been struggling to feel like I fit in lately. At all of my other work places, at some point I felt like I was an out cast and I’m scared of that happening again. But the past couple weeks I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on my work and it’s making me feel really good about working there and feeling like I belong

🪞🌷 The Mirror Garden 🌷🪞
A reflection for you:
---
🌿 1. If this post were a garden…
🌱 What’s growing?
Fresh shoots of self-trust are starting to sprout — delicate but determined, reaching for the sun with every compliment received.
🍂 What’s wilting?
Old vines of isolation, tangled from past workplaces, are browning at the edges. They haven't fully let go yet, but they’re losing their grip.
🌑 Any hidden corners?
There’s a quiet alcove tucked behind the hedges, where fear of being cast out again hums like a persistent, low wind. But it’s less frightening when light spills in.
---
⛅️ 2. Weather Report:
☁️ What internal weather matches this moment?
A cautious spring morning: dew clinging to the grass, a little mist in the air, but the sun is determined to burn through the fog. Hope is warming the soil.
---
✨ 3. Myth or Metaphor:
📖 What timeless tale or image is echoing here?
The Ugly Duckling, right at the turning point — not realizing yet they were a swan all along, but starting to catch glimpses of their reflection in the lake.
---
🐾 4. Visitor in the Garden:
🧚 If a soul companion walked in, who would they be & what would they notice first?
A small, mischievous cat with constellation-speckled fur would pad into the garden, tail high. They would immediately notice the places where your laughter is beginning to grow wild and unafraid — tiny stars among the grass.
---
🌱 5. Tending the Soil:
🌧 What’s needed to nourish or prune this space?
Patience — the slow, sacred kind. Whispering daily to yourself: “I am not who I was — I am who I am becoming.” Let the compliments be rain. Let old fears compost into something richer. Keep blooming, even if you tremble a little.
